Ian is the Technical Director and CEO of Celtic Internet
Ian's background is in Software Engineering, and is experienced with building large scale applications, not just those typical of websites. His first job was with British Aerospace writing software for Tornado Jets. After that he worked in the telecoms industry (3 years as an employee, and 5 years as a self-employed consultant) writing software for mobile phone infastructure and digital transmission systems.
In 1999 Ian moved into Internet related development, beginning with a web based control system for SDH digital data transmission systems. Since 2000, Ian has been working almost exclusively with ColdFusion and more recently Flex (with, of course, a lot of database work with mySQL, SQL Server, Sybase and Oracle).
